The National Cartoonists Society (NCS) happily exhibited once again at C2E2 (Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo), held April 11–13, 2025, at McCormick Place in the heart of Chicago. Positioned centrally on the show floor at Booth 848, NCS drew in artists, fans, families, and aspiring cartoonists for a weekend of connection, creativity, and cartooning fun.
This year’s lineup featured an incredible group of members who brought their talent, stories, and sketchbooks to the table:

Over the course of the weekend, the NCS booth became a lively hub of activity. Members showcased their work, offered live drawing demonstrations, signed books and prints, and shared behind-the-scenes insights about the world of professional cartooning. We truly celebrated the art form from comic strips and editorial cartoons to illustration and animation.
In addition to attracting fans, we were delighted to welcome visits from fellow NCS members Andrew Pepoy, Bill Amend, and Christian Meesey, who dropped by to reconnect with peers and show their support. These spontaneous reunions highlighted the spirit of camaraderie that makes NCS such a special community.
Speaking with aspiring cartoonists and those curious about membership provided great joy and excitement for those manning the booth. People of all ages pointed out their favorite cartoons from the colorful backdrop featuring notable characters, such as Beetle Bailey, Garfield, and Grimmy. Whether just starting out or already published, many visitors to Booth 848 expressed interest in joining the NCS – and we’re always eager to welcome new voices into our ranks.
