Welcome to the NCS Chicago Midwest Chapter
The Chicago Midwest Chapter of the National Cartoonists Society (NCS) is a dynamic community of professional cartoonists united by a shared passion for the art of cartooning. Our members encompass a diverse range of talents, including comic strip creators, editorial cartoonists, caricaturists, graphic novelists, gag cartoonists, and humorous illustrators. Together, we celebrate the rich tradition and evolving landscape of cartoon art.
As of the NCS’s regional chapters, we actively engage in fostering connections among cartoonists and promoting the art form to the public. Our initiatives include hosting exhibitions, such as the “Drawn to Humor” exhibit at the Beverly Arts Center, participating in conventions like C2E2, and conducting community outreach programs. These events provide opportunities for members to showcase their work, collaborate, and inspire the next generation of cartoonists.
